PIH Health Receives $100,000 Grant From California Community Foundation

WHITTIER, Calif. - Aug. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- PIH Health is pleased to announce the receipt of a $100,000 grant from the California Community Foundation (CCF). The grant funding will support PIH Health's efforts to bring together community based organizations and foster collaboration to address identified community health needs and reduce health disparities.

"We are grateful to the California Community Foundation for their support," says James R. West, PIH Health president and chief executive officer. "These funds will allow us to facilitate collaboration amongst local community organizations to further improve the health and well-being of those living in our communities."

Additionally, to ensure sustainability of the coalitions, grant funding will allow PIH Health to partner with the Southern California Center for Nonprofit Management to for coaching, training and facilitation to strengthen leadership and collaborative skills and create realistic action plans for community health improvement. PIH Health will also provide on-going technical assistance for the newly formed coalitions.
