DALLAS - Aug. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- The 2016 North Texas Giving Day festivities kicked off on Friday, July 22, 2016, when North Texas Basset Hound Rescue (NTBHR) and other members of the Early Bird Perks Club were featured on WFAA's DayBreak morning show from 5:00 - 7:00 am. NTBHR's mascot, Bosley the Basset, woke from his slumber extra early to get in on the action with two of his foster friends, Twiggy and Marcy, and our human volunteers. Bosley's enthusiam caught the attention of the cameraman, and Bosley got some air time!
Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 22, 2016. Donate to North Texas Basset Hound Rescue between 6 am - midnight (Central Time) on https://northtexasgivingday.org/. (https://northtexasgivingday.org/) Last year we raised just under $20,000, and our goal this year is to raise $25,000. NTBHR will receive "bonus funds" from your donation, and last year the bonus funds were approximately 7.5%. North Texas Giving Day will raise funds to help with the rescue and medical treatment of Basset Hounds from area pounds and shelters, and place them in permanent, loving homes. NTBHR is an all-volunteer organization, which relies strictly upon donations. We have rescued over 2000 Basset Hounds and placed them in loving adoptive homes. Medical treatment for each rescued Basset Hound averages over $800, creating the need for fundraising events such as North Texas Giving Day.
