Drone and AI startup UVify unveils Draco, its first racing drone at Korea Drone Nationals

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Aug. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Drone and artificial intelligence startup, UVify, debuted Draco, its first racing drone on August 13 at the Korea Drone Nationals in Chuncheon where it placed second in races against drones made by over 20 other companies in the manufactures race.

"We are happy with the results from the race and are looking forward to continued success going forward in the drone racing space," UVify Director of Business Development Robert Cheek said. "This is our first race with Draco and will make the adjustments to boost its performance at the next competition."

UVify was founded to develop fully autonomous robots using 3D computer vision, sophisticated state estimation and modern control theory. We have worked on a range of robotics technologies ranging from autonomous drones, to 3D and 2D SLAM using various sensors (monocular, stereo, laser and RGB-D sensors), to medical applications (high precision torque driver for dentists), to automated code generation for complex robotic systems, to flight control systems for fixed-wing and multi-rotor vehicles for UAV research platforms.
