FULLERTON, Calif. - Aug. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- The Fullerton Family YMCA is set to host its annual evening of food and entertainment, September 10th, that will help raise money for the needs of the community.  This year will be the 28th edition of Crab Feast, which features an all you can eat dinner with the dish of choice being fresh King Crab legs cooked right on the spot!  This evening under the stars also features opportunity drawings, silent and live auctions, music, and dancing.

All proceeds help fund the YMCA afterschool care program at Richman Center in Fullerton, where local at-risk youth are provided a safe, structured, and supervised place to go afterschool.  Richman Center is a fully-subsidized program where the Y is able to provide homework help, healthy snacks, character development, indoor/outdoor activities, and much more to underprivileged youth in our communities at no cost to their families.

For YMCA staff and volunteers, Crab Feast is one of the events they look forward to the most. "I wish I could be an attendee! It's a great way for people from all over the county to come together to support the Y's great cause.  Not only is this event fun and enjoyable for our guests, but they are also helping us raise funds to support our afterschool programs and make a difference in our communities," says Clare McKenna, Executive Director of the Fullerton Family YMCA.

Thanks to local businesses and community supporters, the Fullerton Y has been able to run this great family event for the last 28 years and continue to uphold the vision of improving lives and strengthening character by fostering youth and family development.

Non crab lovers will also be able to take full advantage of the all-you-can-eat style dinner with additional menu items including: chicken, tri-tip steak, clam chowder, crab cakes, jambalaya, pizza, beer and wine, and desserts.

Carb Feast and Auction Under the Stars is set for Saturday, September 10th from 6p-10p at the Fullerton YMCA (adjacent to Saint Jude Medical Center on Harbor Blvd.)  For more information or to purchase tickets online visit http://www.ymcaoc.org/crab-feast/ or call (714) 879-9622.
