By: GreenLeaf In addition to live music and dancing, the Farm-Raiser event will feature an exciting silent auction, youth-led games and tours of GreenLeaf's new farm at the Smiley Campus two blocks away, a delicious potluck-style dinner with food and drinks from local restaurants and breweries, and opportunities to purchase fresh produce from the farm and get involved with GreenLeaf's award-winning programming. The celebration will be focused on successes over the past year since GreenLeaf was forced to close their long-time farm home downtown and relocate operations. Thanks to a new partnership with Denver Public Schools, the GreenLeaf youth have built a brand new quarter-acre farm on the historic Smiley Campus in North Park Hill. GreenLeaf youth crew members work together to plan and manage the farm, including a weekly farm stand and small Community Supported Agriculture program, which help offset the cost of running the farm.
