A disciple of Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa of Dakshinkhanda, West Bengal, Poojya Swamiji embraced sanyaasa (asceticism) in a rare and wholesome way at the early age of 23. Since then, compelled by an overwhelming concern for all people, he has been traveling the world for six decades and guiding people in the integrated path of karma, jnaana, and bhakti to reach the innermost abode of freedom and bliss.

Established by Swamiji in 1963, "Narayanshrama Tapovanam" is located on the picturesque slopes of the eastern hill of Pandavagiri, in Thrissur District of Kerala, India. The Ashram draws seekers and visitors from all walks of life, to benefit from the company of a Sage, and seek his blessings and guidance in spiritual and personal matters. Initially a hut, the Ashram has today grown into an institution of spiritual learning with centers around the world.
