By: Zig Zibit The Raleigh, N.C.-based exhibits company will have eight of its clients exhibiting at the show, and will be a sponsor of the IMTS Miles for Manufacturing 5k run. "Manufacturing is the backbone of America," said Jake Merzigian, president of Zig Zibit. "Not only is it important to us as an exhibit company and to our clients showing at IMTS, but it's also the driving force behind our economy." Merzigian added that education is crucial for the future of manufacturing in America. "Educating and inspiring the next generation is one of the most important things we can do, and we're thrilled to be able to help that effort," he said. The Miles for Manufacturing run will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14. Proceeds from the race will benefit schools and community-based STEM education program in Chicago. With eight clients exhibiting, Zig Zibit will have its largest-ever footprint at IMTS. Avani, Poco Graphite, Wen, MIE, Chiron, Koma, Schunk, and Starett will all have exhibits designed and created by Zig Zibit. "In all, we'll have over 13,000 square feet at this year's show," said Merzigian.
