REVERE, Mass. - Sept. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- OCEANAIR, Inc., New England's leading freight forwarder and independent service provider, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Bill Connolly to the position of Vice President of Customs & Import Compliance.  In this new role, Mr. Connolly will become the qualified individual for OCEANAIR's Corporate Customs Broker License.  Additionally, Bill will continue his role as OCEANAIR's representative member of the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA). This responsibility requires his ongoing participation in the NCBFAA annual conference as well as partaking in the Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) program through the NCBFAA National Educational Institute (NEI) related program.

Bill has almost forty-years of industry experience with nine of them successfully spent at OCEANAIR. Mr. Connolly received his Customs Broker License in 1979 and began his tenure at OCEANAIR in 2007. Initially, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of OCEANAIR's Customs House Brokerage (CHB) and Customs Compliance. In 2011, his duties also grew to include the daily management of OCEANAIR's Imports.  His role in 2013 would change as the Director of Import Compliance. This position allowed Mr. Connolly to primarily focus on internal compliance with the CHB team, while also working with the sales team and clients by offering them advice on various compliance issues.

Bill's future goals with OCEANAIR include formalizing employee training, as well as reviewing and upgrading internal processes. He believes in "training people and providing them with the right tools creates a better working environment, and also adds value all around."
