TalkLocal's Manpreet Singh Prepares to Give a Presentation at PubCon on October 12th

LAS VEGAS - Oct. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- TalkLocal co-founder Manpreet Singh will join Purna Virji, Senior PPC Training Manager for Bing Ads (Microsoft), to present at Pubcon Las Vegas on October 12th (the second day of the three-day conference). Entitled "How Voice Search is Changing Advertising," the talk will discuss how Google's voice search, Siri, Amazon Echo, and other voice-based devices and platforms have impacted consumer search behavior, and how advertisers should adapt. In 2013, Forbes named the publishing and advertising conference a must-attend event in the industry.

"When customers research and receive information by voice, there's no search results page listing competing choices. There's no medal for second place; there's no participation trophy. Either your company will answer the query or your business will be invisible to the consumer. That's why it's critical that companies prepare for the shift to voice-enabled devices," Singh explained.

For his part, Singh founded TalkLocal to bridge the technology gap between phone-reliant SMBs and prospective customers using the latest consumer technology. TalkLocal is a marketplace and tech provider with a recently launched Amazon Echo app. The Echo app (which lets people describe their service needs by voice and get connected to a pro by phone) is not the only way TalkLocal is making strides in the conversational engagement arena. The data from all of these ventures, Singh argues, forms the core of a content marketing strategy that's ready for coming age of interactive voice technology. And, Singh doesn't think that preparing for voice conflicts with near-term marketing interests. Taking your industry and area's most common queries and formatting the answers to get picked up by Google Snippets, for example, is a smart way to navigate the current marketing terrain while paving the way towards the future. That's because Singh expects features like Google Snippets and Direct Response to form the foundation for voice search engine responses.

"Before voice, content marketing used to be about lengthy blogs and keywords. Now, quality voice search marketing is like great customer service; it quickly answers questions and solves problems," Singh explained.
