District 86 Toastmaster of The Year Trophy
BRAMPTON, Ontario - Oct. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Immediate Past District 86 Director Janice McDonald, DTM, announced the recipients of the District 86 Toastmasters "Of the Year Awards" for the 2015 - 2016 Toastmasters Year. The Awards will be presented during the District 86 Fall Conference November 25th to 27th, at the Director's Banquet on Saturday, November 26th in Niagara Falls, at the Marriott on the Falls.

McDonald lead a committee that chose the following:

Club Coach Of The Year
Caroline Beren, DTM for Linguists Of Listowel Club, Mount Forest Motivators Toastmasters Club. The Club Coach of The Year Award goes to a successful Club Coach who lead their club back to Distinguished Club status.

Publicist Of The Year
Yoshith Perera, ACB, ALB from Brampton Toastmasters Club. This award recognizes publicity efforts by Toastmasters throughout the year. It's awarded to a member who does the best job of promoting Toastmasters through a variety of media and throughout the District.

President Of The Year
Roger Caesar, ACS, ALB  from Brampton Toastmasters Club. The President of the Year Award is based on Toastmasters club activities and personal achievements, including educational program, club administration, membership, and other club activities.

Area Director Of The Year
Claire Zheng ACS, ALS - From Momentum Toastmasters and Power Speaking Toastmasters Club. The Area Director of the Year is based on the Area performance and the individuals' contributions to that achievement.  The achievements are measured across membership building and retention, club extensions, distinguished club program, education and training, leadership commitment and support, and public relations.

Division Director Of The Year
Jacklyn Payne, DTM Division A Director - From Brampton Toastmasters Club. The Division Director of the Year is based on the Division performance and the individuals contributions to that achievement.  The achievements are measured across membership building and retention, club extensions, distinguished club program, education and training, leadership commitment and support, and public relations.

Club Of The Year / Education Leadership / Membership Leadership
Meadowvale Toastmasters Club, Division C, Area 45 - President Leona Wilson, DTM. There are three levels to this award.  The Education Leadership award will be awarded to the club with the highest number of points in the Education Leadership category.  The Membership Leadership award will be given to the club with the highest number of points in the Membership Leadership category.  The Club of the Year award will be given to the club with the highest total number of points in ALL three categories.

Toastmaster Of The Year
Mohammed Zackria, ACG, ALB - From D + H Toastmasters Club and Mississauga Sales & Marketing Toastmasters. The Toastmaster of the Year award is given to a member who best exemplifies Toastmasters International values in supporting the District mission.  The Toastmaster of the Year is expected to excel in a variety of leadership and communication; educational; and marketing and public relations activities.
