Global 4K TV Network Launches DFW Recruiting Initiative to Revolutionize TV Biz and Create Jobs

DALLAS - Oct. 26, 2016 - PRLog -- There's no business like show business ‒ but even showbiz needs a shake-up now and again, and VIVE Lifestyle Network (VLN) is spearheading the ultra high definition entertainment movement like no one else (even giving it a moniker of UHD Initiative), starting with a master plan to solve the 4K content deficiency problem by training skilled labor right here in North Texas. Beginning in November, VLN Academy will offer a series of immersive short courses referred to as 4K Film & TV PRDXN Boot Camps designed to allow aspiring production professionals in Texas an opportunity to get a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience of what it's like to work in film and television for the purpose of determining whether they might be keen to pursue careers in the field and ultimately work on actual VLN productions shown across its worldwide 4K digital TV platform.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of filmmaking under the tutelage of an L.A.-based professional production crew eager to impart their knowledge and tools of the trade ‒ including VLN Academy Training Director, Chris Liebe, of Film Lab at Playhouse West notoriety ‒ while creating original short films from beginning to end that may be showcased on VLN's film channel, SHORTies. One of many perks of the boot camp will be to shoot on 4K RED Digital Cinema Cameras, now commonly used to film big-budget Hollywood productions.

After learning the ropes of the motion picture creation process, participants shall then have the option to carry on with their trade training through a self-paced 4K PRDXN Pro Training Program available perennially where they will work side-by-side with production crews amassing experience in various capacities, such as cinematography, vision mixing, gaffing, post-production and workflow, and much more, on serial TV shows, films, music videos, commercials and live events like concerts.

"Having the flexibility to choose which projects in which to participate allows trainees to balance work and personal commitments while still striving for an attainable goal in far less time for far less money than if they studied at traditional film and television broadcast schools," says VLN Founder and Director, John Jacaman. "Ultimately, they will have careers that afford them the freedom of choice and sustainable livelihoods without the struggle of coming out of school with little to no experience and saddled with debilitating debt."

Upon completion of requisite projects, 4K PRDXN Pro Training Program participants will be eligible for consideration as paid crew for hire on VLN productions globally and/or they might even set out to form production companies of their own with the option of pitching pilots and finding a home for their content on VLN's prolific multi-channel platform.

"Our trainees don't necessarily have to work with VLN post-course completion; however, they will be equipped with the relevant, highly sought-after skills and experience to have a competitive advantage in the talent pool and land gigs anywhere around the globe."

VLN chose Dallas-Ft.Worth as its training and hiring hub since its Texan founders ‒ who established the company in London, England in 2013 ‒ hold a special place in their hearts for the area they consider home. The training program intends to stimulate the local entertainment production industry which shrunk by 18% during the period of 2006 to 2010, putting an emphasis on projects like Area 4 and The Image, two serial dramas, both of which are based upon true stories and will use Big D as a backdrop.
