Follow on Google News | Ruby Celebrations for Loyal Wyboston Lakes EmployeeThere were celebrations at Wyboston Lakes this week to commemorate Shirley Heath's 40 years of service with the company.
By: Wyboston Lakes In 2006, the company sold the construction side of the business to focus fully on developing the hotel, conference, training and serviced office aspects of the company. Shirley transferred to the Knowledge Centre where she has been for the last seven years, and is the shop front and customer interface for the many businesses located in the office complex. "Wyboston Lakes is a fabulous business to work for." said Shirley. "There is a real family atmosphere which is appreciated by all the staff, no matter which department they work in. I can still remember the first day I started all those years ago and Peter Hutchinson, who founded the business, came up to me, put his arm around me and welcomed me like a daughter. That personal and friendly approach remains to this day and makes the company very special to me." Brian Payton, Director of Business Development for Wyboston Lakes added, "Shirley is a most loyal, conscientious member of staff with first class customer skills, and is always willing to help and support our customers. She maintains a single reception at the Knowledge Centre which covers five other buildings containing over 45 business clients. Only the other day I was talking to one of our rapidly growing tenants who needed more office space. When I explained that we don't have any at the moment, they commented that they couldn't possibly leave The Knowledge Centre because they wouldn't have a Shirley!" Shirley added, "Even after 40 years, I still thoroughly enjoy my job and I will continue to work here as long as I can. If I wasn't here I really would miss all the colleagues and customers that make my days so gratifying." ends Editors Notes High res images available on request More about Wyboston lakes Wyboston Lakes is centrally located on a 382 acre rural estate between Cambridge and Milton Keynes, close to the A1, M1 and recently dualled A421 road networks and local railway links.
