Supports Miracles for Madelyn Charity

INDIANAPOLIS - Oct. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- On Saturday, October 29, a community will come together to attend the 3rd Annual Miracles for Madelyn Golf Scramble Charity Event hosted by the Miracles for Madelyn organization and sponsored by Community Exteriors, Inc. The event will be in support of young Madelyn Kissell and her continued fight against a rare disease. Madelyn was born on April 9, 2013 with underdeveloped lungs and kidneys due to her condition and, although she just recently celebrated her 3rd birthday in April, she faces an uphill battle as her kidney function has decreased tremendously over the last several months. With a costly transplant being her only option, the charity event will give her a fighting chance to raise the funds she needs to live.

Raising just around $4K for the event, Dave Farbaky, President/CEO of Community Exteriors, Inc., says "It's a tragedy someone so young and new to this world has to struggle so early in life. I'm just happy we are in a position to support in such an impactful way." Having already been the only baby to survive her condition at Peyton Manning's Children's Hospital (NICU), Madelyn's family is again meeting with doctors at Cincinatti's Children's Hospital to start planning a double kidney transplant.

The charity event will be hosted at Eagles Creek Golf Course. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m; shotgun is at 1 p.m. A fun day dedicated to the loving thought of Madelyn Kissell will be capped with cocktails, dinner, and an awards ceremony at 5 p.m.

MIRACLES FOR MADELYN

An organization that was developed to help the family of a local Hendricks County girl in her fight against a rare kidney condition: Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD) which can also affect other organs. It was discovered during an ultrasound at 32 weeks gestation that this girl, Madelyn Kissel's, kidneys were enlarged and she was lacking amniotic fluid. Despite all the odds, Madelyn is now a sweet, strong, and sassy 3 year old!
