Welcome New Jersey Resources' Rhonda Figueroa to the ACOD Board of Trustees Advisory Board

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Nov. 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The American Conference on Diversity (ACOD) Board of Trustees, staff, and constituents are proud to welcome Rhonda M. Figueroa, Corporate Diversity Officer at New Jersey Resources, as the newest member to the Board of Trustees Advisory Board.

"Ms. Figueroa exemplifies the leadership New Jersey needs to embrace differences and build bridges across cultural divides," said ACOD President & CEO Elizabeth Williams-Riley. "The goal of our Advisory Board is to transform communities through institutional change by empowering leaders."

As Corporate Diversity Officer at New Jersey Resources, Ms. Figueroa is responsible for facilitating an open and inclusive workplace, where all people are treated with dignity and respect, as well as developing programs and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion as a core value. Prior to her current position, she served as the Company's Corporate Secretary.

Ms. Figueroa graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a master's degree in business administration from Monmouth University. She also received her Diversity and Inclusion Professionals certificate from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations. Ms. Figueroa is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and serves as a Trustee and Secretary of the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and third vice president on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. In 2013, she was the recipient of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore's Woman of Distinction award.
