MELBOURNE, Fla. - Nov. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Terasem's 11th Annual Colloquium on the Law of Futuristic Persons

WHO
: Lawyers, Legal Professionals, Policymakers, Computer Scientists, Roboticists, Neuroscientists, Biologists, Bioethicists, MDs, Psychiatrists/Psychologists, Human/Civil Rights Activists and Information Technologists interested in the law of futuristic persons.

WHAT: The colloquium is an exchange of scholarly views associated with the moral and legal principles and obligations in cyber-humanity.

WHERE:  Terasem Island Conference Center in Second Life (http://secondlife.com,coordinates: 132.177.33), an on-line virtual community. Upon presentation acceptance, we will be pleased to provide you with the necessary acquaintance and instruction to participate in the Terasem Island/Second Life virtual colloquium. All colloquium proceedings are open to the general, virtual public and may be subsequently archived online for free public access.

WHEN: Saturday, December 10, 2016, 10AM – 1PM PST / 1PM - 4PM EST / 6PM – 9PM GMTIn honor of International Human Rights Day and Dr. Marvin Minsky, the 'father of artificial intelligence'.

*The conference time is subject to change based on the number of speakers.

WHY: To develop an optimal body of law to accommodate emergent needs.

HOW: Submit a title and 100-word abstract for a 20-minute PowerPoint presentation to Lori@TerasemCentral.org no later thanNovember 15, 2016.Accepted presenters are notified by November 21, 2016. Each presenter is allotted up to 20 minutes to make their PowerPoint presentation to the Colloquium attendees as well as to the general, virtual Second Life public. Up to a 20-minute discussion period follows each presentation. Selected papers may be published in the Colloquium's online archive.
