By: psa3 Did you know that one million people in New Jersey don't know where their next meal is coming from? The numbers are indeed staggering — and that's why cause marketing agency psa3 is profiling Community FoodBank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) on its popular blog. The CFBNJ mission: To fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We will engage, educate, and empower all sectors of society in the battle. Says Debra Vizzi, CFBNJ president and CEO, "With over 1,000 partner charities, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey addresses the issue of hunger with food, help and hope. Last year alone, we distributed more than 43 million pounds of food thanks to the support of generous donors, volunteers and hunger-fighting advocates." There a variety of ways to support the good work CFBNJ does, from food and money donations to volunteering to hosting your own food drive to supporting the Check-Out Hunger® from late September to the end of December, every year, at your local Wawa, Foodtown, Kings, ShopRite, Price Rite and QuickChek stores. In support of its Check-Out Hunger® campaign, CFBNJ recently partnered with psa3 to create a public service announcement called "What's for Dinner?". The 60-second PSA is airing on NJ radio stations and is a call-to-action for all NJ residents to consider how they'd feel if they didn't know how they were going to feed themselves or their families. "More than 4.7 million times a year, someone in need is fed by the FoodBank's network of partner charities, like your local soup kitchens and food pantries. For every $1 donated, we are able to source and distribute $10 worth of healthy food. We would not be able to fight hunger in New Jersey without your support," Vizzi adds.
