Sterling Joyce's 2016 Charity Fundraising Holiday PartiesBy: BEAM This year, Sterling is bringing Tinsel town back to Jacksonville town. "Hollywood at the Casa Marina" celebrates Jacksonville's film making history. The venue is appropriate, since many famous silent movie era stars (including Mae West, Jean Harlow and Fatty Arbuckle) stayed at the Casa when they were shooting movies locally in the roaring twenties. The party, which takes place from 6-11 p.m., Dec. 14, at the Casa Marina, benefits the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM), a charity that helps Jacksonville area families in need of food and financial assistance. Members of the U.S. Armed Forces will present the colors in appreciation of the sacrifices made by local servicemen and women. The presentation will start promptly at 6 p.m. Only Sterling can bring the Hollywood glamour of Rodeo Drive to Jacksonville Beach. This year's fashion show is made possible by Beth Sullivan of Sei Bella Image Consulting and will feature collections by several talented local designers. The event will also feature an all-star lineup of live entertainment! The party continues at 11 p.m. down the street at Seachasers. Special room rates will be offered at the Casa Marina and the Hampton Inn that night. Sterling's ICON Pre-Party Get red carpet-ready and celebrate with local Jacksonville icons at Sterling's annual holiday pre-party. The celebration will be from 7 -11 p.m., Dec. 6 at Myth & Element, in downtown Jacksonville. Come dressed as your favorite celebrity or movie star. The party benefits 88 Blessings, a nonprofit organization that helps help families and single parents deal with life challenges. Mingle with the local celebrities expected to attend, including the Jaguars' #88, Allen Hurns.
