The A&E Channel did a documentary recently involving Dr. Batchelor as he treated a 350 pound RoswellGeorgia man. Dr. Batchelor is also an actor in an upcoming movie "Against the Wind", to be released into a theater near you soon. He is a supporting actor playing the part of a fighter pilot that later becomes a Federal DEA undercover agent sent to eliminate leaders of a major illegal drug(opium) organization. The movie was filmed in the jungles of Costa Rica and Nicaragua and in Malaysia and in the mountains of North Carolina. Athletic experience Dr. Batchelor has been one of the top tri-athletes, mountain bikers and middle distance runners in Atlanta since 1977. He has been a consultant for Runners World magazine, Running in Georgia, The Georgia Runner, Running Journal, and Run and See Georgia. He has won over 350 road races, including the Subaru Challenge Triathlon, run over 60,000 miles and treated over 100,000 patients for a variety of conditions. He was ranked #1 in the state in his division in the Georgia State Championship Mountain Bike Race Series and was the overall winner of the 2013 and 2014 Back to the Hooch Kayak Race. As a member of the Eco-Challenge Team that competed in the Santa Monica mountains of California, Dr. Batchelor kayaked in 6 foot waves, mountain biked, climbed, rappelled from 1,200 foot cliffs, ran, orienteered, and hiked for five grueling days of competition with only 1 hour of sleep each night.
