By: Rotary Club of Flagler Beach "We are beyond excited to welcome visitors to Flagler Beach after Hurricane Matthew," said Flagler Beach President Cindy Dalecki. "We encourage everyone to enter the parade or bring the family to come watch," she added. The much anticipated Santa will parachute onto the beach at 1PM just north of the pier. The parade will start immediately after "touchdown". Santa will jump on the back of the Flagler Beach Fire Department Fire truck as he welcomes in the Holiday Season in Flagler County. Attendees are invited to bring a toy for Project Share. Project Share has been the major service project of the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach for 17 years. Christmas toys, clothes and bicycles are provided to local children through this project. In the parade there will be pickup trucks for spectators to put their toy donations, and new this year, the Flagler Beach Historical Museum will serve as a drop off location for the toys. There will be a performance area at the intersection of A1A and SR100 and groups or marching bands are invited to perform. The parade route runs from A1A North at 6th Street to A1A South at 6th Street. Parade entries are free and the application can be downloaded from www.FlaglerBeachRotary.org, or email info@ FlaglerBeachRotary.org with any questions. Immediately after the parade trophies for Best of Parade, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for Best Marching Unit, Best Holiday Theme and Judge's Choice will be given out at Veteran's Park. On Friday evening, join the City of Flagler Beach for Music in the Park with Christmas music and the lighting of the Christmas tree in Veteran's Memorial Park.
