Follow on Google News | Sunshine, Songs, and Second Chances: SMART Raises $20K for Rescue Dogs at Palm Coast FestivalBy: SMART animal rescue The festival featured live performances from three of the area's most popular bands—Soulfire, Southern Chaos, and The Bye Band—all of whom donated their time and talent to the cause. Under sunny skies and clear weather, attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, food, and fun activities for all ages. The mix of rock, blues, and Southern-style music kept the crowd dancing, singing, and celebrating throughout the day. A wide array of local vendors offered unique goods, delicious food, and refreshing drinks, while SMART added extra excitement with numerous door prize giveaways. One of the most heartwarming highlights of the day was the opportunity for visitors to meet SMART's adoptable dogs and puppies. Many attendees connected with these loving animals—some even finding their new best friend. The presence of these adoptable pets perfectly captured SMART's ongoing mission to find loving homes for dogs while bringing joy to families and animal lovers alike. "We are overwhelmed with the dedication and generosity of our community and the love they share for abused and abandoned animals," said Caroline Johnson, Executive Director and founder of SMART. "The event raised nearly $20,000, and every bit of that will help us save lives and make a difference for the animals in our care. The turnout was amazing, the music was fantastic, and seeing so many of our dogs finding new homes or potential adopters was incredibly rewarding. This event truly showcased the power of community and the importance of supporting our rescue efforts." SMART of Flagler extends heartfelt thanks to the talented bands, generous vendors, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who attended and contributed to the event's success. Special recognition goes to Bold Lady and MC Ana Reyes-Ouzts for her incredible energy, Heather Thompson with HT Productions, and Toni Quattrocchi for her vision and tireless work in bringing this unforgettable event to life. Additional thanks go to East Coast Animal Hospital, the Elks Lodge and their volunteers, and the many local businesses and vendors who sponsored and supported the fundraiser.
