Miami Startup - Stow Simple - wins Inaugural Babson Rocket Pitch Competition

MIAMI - Nov. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- Stow Simple, Miami's highest rated storage company, which launched its on-demand storage concept in 2015, took first place in Miami's first Babson Rocket Pitch Competition. The Rocket Pitch is an event where entrepreneurs are invited to pitch their businesses to a large audience of investors, business professionals, entrepreneurs and service providers. Each entrepreneur is given three minutes and three PowerPoint slides to quickly and succinctly deliver the critical differentiating elements of their business ideas.

On November 17^th, 8 finalists pitched their business solutions at an event hosted by The Venture Café. Judges included: Cindy Klein-Marmer Associate Director, Babson College; Jean-Pierre Trouillot, CFO, Miami Finance Forum; and Chris Caines, Community and National Initiatives Program.

Winners included:
Silvia M. Camps, Stow Simple – 1^st Place, $10k Cash Prize
Jessica Do, Palmpress – 2^nd Place, $5k Cash Prize
Francine Gervazio, Cargo42 – 3^rd Place, $3k Cash Prize

Silvia Camps explained how Stow Simple, a next-generation storage company aims to disrupt the 32 billion dollar storage industry by eliminating the well-known inconveniences associated with traditional self-storage. Stow Simple picks up, stores and photo-catalogues a user's belongings, which can be delivered back with the click of a button. Stow Simple has reduced storage to 3 simple steps:

1. Schedule
  - Users schedule a delivery, online or by phone, and Stow Simple drops off heavy-duty bins, file and wardrobe boxes right to their door.

2. We Pick Up
  - Users fill their boxes and gather any oversized items like bikes or strollers taking up valuable space. Stow Simple whisks them away to its secure storage facility.

3. Request Delivery - At the warehouse, Stow Simple creates an online photo catalog where users can see and request items to be delivered from the comfort of their couch.
