As anti-transgender hate speech escalates, the growing collaboration between government and religious extremists reveals an undeniable violation of the Constitutional guarantee of a separation between Church and State.
PORTLAND, Ore. - April 4, 2017 - PRLog -- Recently, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R-Texas) announced the creation of "Operation One Million Voices", a partnership between the State of Texas and a number of extremist religious organizations. This clear violation of both the Texas and U.S. Constitutional guarantee of separation between Church and State attempts to pass an oppressive anti-transgender law that will do great harm to K-12 students.
A new video from TransActive Gender Center reveals exposes the lies being told by Radical Christian Extremists and Far Right Legislators as they conduct a crusade of hate and misinformation against transgender children, youth and their families.
Encouraged by the Trump administration's refusal to endorse Department of Education guidance on affirming transgender students in K-12 public and charter schools, conservative legislators in Texas and other states are proposing passage of statutes that restrict the rights of transgender students. In most of these instances, elected officials are working hand-in-hand with extremist organizations like the Family Research Council and Vision America Action to impose radical religious moral beliefs on school districts and American citizens.
