TransActive Gender Center 2016 School Inclusion Survey

As many schools throughout the USA are making progress in creating inclusive educational environments for gender diverse and transgender children, adolescents and teens, some struggle with implementation of trans-inclusive policies.

PORTLAND, Ore. - July 24, 2016 - PRLog -- In certain parts of the United States (North Carolina, Texas) schools are
actively being prevented from establishing inclusive environments by political opportunism and ideological extremism.

TransActive Gender Center has created the "2016 School Inclusion Survey" to learn from the experiences of transgender students and those who have recently left high school.

The Survey data will assist TransActive Gender Center and other trans-youth advocates in guiding K-12 schools nationwide toward compliance with federal, state and local civil rights protections that benefit all students.

The Survey is open to trans-spectrum K-12 students attending school (including those that may be home schooled) anywhere in the United States of America and those who have left high school within the past two years. For confidentiality and safety reasons, only students age 13 and up may take the Survey on their own. Parents, caregivers and legal guardians may assist those students who are 12 and under to take the Survey.

Participation is confidential, anonymous and no personally identifiable information is required.
