Banasthali's Daughters in Sports Arena are indeed Alumni with a Difference

JAIPUR, India - June 11, 2017 - PRLog -- In the National Institutional Ranking Framework NIRF by Ministry of Human Resource Development MHRD Government of India, Banasthali is top women's University. Banasthali also ranked among the top ten colleges of India by The India Today-Nielsen Survey- 2017. The Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Management Studies (WISDOM), Department of Computer Science (AIM & ACT), Banasthali University ranked 3rd while Department of Education also ranked among the Top 10. It is beyond writing and above any ranking".

The Indian with the most marathons under her belt, Ms Sunita Godara the Asian Marathon 1992 Gold Medal winner the undisputed Marathon queen is a proud student of Banasthali.  She has participated in marathons in over 25 countries spread across the globe including the Boston Marathon and some races. Her record of winning the maximum number of marathons by any Indian remains unbeaten 200+ till date. She was also the brand runner for Nike and Adidas for six years each. She was also Olympic Torch Bearer/Escort Runner at the Atlanta Olympics 1996. She was also conferred Honorary Doctorate from Banasthali University in recognition of her contribution to the field of sports & Fitness. To quote her "For my college, I moved to Banasthali Vidyapeeth where I got a chance to learn horse riding and dance. I was in NCC and tried flying along with parachute jumping and a lot more - being active was always a way of living for me."

HOCKEY INDIA (HI) is the apex body of the country which has the sole mandate to govern and conduct all activities for both men and women hockey in India and it is indeed a matter of pride that Vice President of same Dr Shobha Singh is a Proud alumni of Banasthali.

First Indian Lady Faculty at Finland Sports Institute happens to be Ms Benu Agrawal who is also a Proud Banasthalite.
