Las Vegas Entrepreneur Kema Ogden Spearheads Three Organizations Advancing Community Change

LAS VEGAS - Aug. 28, 2017 - PRLog -- Kema Ogden, a community-minded business entrepreneur, philanthropist, CEO and resident of Las Vegas for more than 35 years, continues to leave her indelible mark on Southern Nevada after recently becoming Executive Director of the Community Outreach Medical Center, a non-profit community clinic that provides medical and behavior services for low-income and high-risk Southern Nevada populations.

         COMC is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers a wide-range of medical services that include: prenatal care for teenagers and women ages 16 to 40 in partnership with the University of Nevada School of Medicine and University Medical Center Hospital's Baby Steps Program; an extensive HIV/AIDS program; cancer screenings; family planning services for women such as Pap Smears, mammograms, pregnancy tests, gynecology services and birth control and services for men that include testicular exams, prostate screening, nutritional counseling and safe-sex counseling.

         "Becoming involved with the Community Outreach Medical Center was a perfect fit with our goals at The Ogden Foundation," said Kema, a graduate of Chaparral High School and the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

         "Our mission is to provide homeless, foster and at-risk youth, as well as underserved families with programs and services that support families, unite communities and promote healthy lifestyles.  Through our health, wellness and education programs, we believe health is full circle and can not be complete without having healthy body, mind and spirit."

         Active in the community, Kema founded The Ogden Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, in 2008 along with her husband, Jonathan Ogden, a former professional offensive tackle football player who played with the NFL Baltimore Ravens.

         Through Kema's leadership, The Ogden Foundation was able to win the Best of Henderson award in Education in 2015 and 2016.

         Kema recently added her professional management skills to the team at Top Notch THC, a minority-owned (of three owners, two are female) cannabis dispensary and cultivation business. Top Notch's parent company is Nevada-based Global Harmony LLC.

I hope to be very involved for many years to come as an active leader in inspiring Nevada individuals to pursue both healthy bodies and strong minds."
