Harris Communications Features Sonic Alert HomeAware Alerting System for the Hard of Hearing, Deaf

HomeAware Alerts the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to Household Alerts and Lifesaving Alarms with Extra-Loud Alarm, Bed Shaker, Flashing Light and Large Scrolling Message

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Oct. 12, 2017 - PRLog -- Harris Communications, Inc., a leading supplier of assistive devices to the hard of hearing and Deaf, proudly introduces a new video and brochure highlighting Sonic Alert's HomeAware™ household alerting system for the Deaf and hard of hearing.

Featuring digital-RF technology, HomeAware gives peace of mind to those who are worried that they or a loved one will not hear an important call, doorbell or lifesaving alarm by reliably alerting them to household alerts with an extra-loud alarm, powerful bed shaker, flashing light and large scrolling message.

HomeAware uses transmitters and receivers to alert those with hearing loss and the Deaf to a wide range of alerts, including doorbells, phone/video calls and FaceTime requests, baby cries, kitchen timers, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It also can be tied to home security systems and weather radios.

HomeAware is the first complete home alerting system for the Deaf and hard of hearing to have virtually unlimited range, with up to 1,000 feet between a transmitter and main unit. Additional receivers can be added to extend the range by 1,000 feet per receiver for whole house coverage. An internal battery backup provides up to 72 hours of continuous backup, the longest of any system of its type.

To help make HomeAware affordable, users can purchase transmitters and receivers separately through Harris Communications, expanding their system over time. Harris Communications also offers money-saving kits and financing. HomeAware will work with existing traditional Sonic Alert receivers with the purchase of a SonicBridge.
