"I'm so grateful to the community for their support," adds Councilwoman- The daughter of a Command Sergeant Major in the Army, Mayor-Elect Butler gained valuable experience working for Douglas County Magistrate Courts and Fulton County Registration and Elections. She is proud of the fact that despite becoming a teen mom at 14-years-old, she went on to complete high school, receive her bachelors degree in political science from Spelman College, a masters degree in public administration from Troy University, and is currently a doctoral candidate in public policy and administration from Walden University.
