Representative from the local Business Association will be on hand. Diane Jolicoeur, local artisan and business woman, will be managing the new craft space as well as teaching classes. With a bachelor's degree in design and 17 years of working as a set designer for a local ballet company, Diane's expertise is in woodworking, which she leveraged to create her own line of custom children's toys and artisan gifts. "This is a real dream come true for me," say Diane. "I can't wait to show people how fun crafting can be and the beautiful things they can create with just a few simple materials." The Creative Studio will hold a variety of interactive workshops lead by Diane as well as by skilled artisans with years of experience in ceramics, painting and flower arranging. Participants can book open classes as well as private events online, including birthdays and baby showers. "We are so excited about opening The Creative Studio," says Sue McDonald, manager of Public Relations and Corporate Sponsorship at Bloomex Canada. "This is a wonderful chance for local artisans to showcase their talent and for people in Ottawa to get creative and get social with a new space to enjoy." Bloomex is the largest florist in Canada.
