Follow on Google News | Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Wins International Marketing AwardThe objective of the campaign is to create a healthier, happier society by connecting improved mental and physical wellbeing with a walk in the park. Marketing efforts were produced entirely in-house and include an animated video with original hand-drawn animation designed by a student intern and a coloring booklet with information about the video. Employees fluent in Spanish and Creole provided the voiceover for alternate language versions. The campaign helped kick off the department's park prescription program, where physicians prescribe outdoor activities such as walks in parks. "Parks and Recreation services significantly contribute to the overall health and wellness of our community and I am extremely proud of our Public Engagement Team for the creative and innovative ways in which they deliver this message to the public," said Parks and Recreation Director Eric Call. "Winning this prominent award is another illustration of why Palm Beach County has the best of everything!"
