IBS Hyderabad Organizes event on Future of Content Marketing: Emerging Possibilities with Web Series

HYDERABAD, India - Dec. 7, 2017 - PRLog -- In a event organized by ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad Sravanthi Challapalli, Senior Deputy Editor of The Hindu business Line delivered a special lecture explaining the importance of content marketing and its emerging possibilities with Web series. In the era where smart phones and video on demand are like basic necessity has become popular mode of entertainment. It is convenient and compelling to watch movies, clips and shows on portable devices. With YouTube becoming very common app, web series have become very popular. In her speech about web series she draw special attention on the fact that basically young audience are connecting more with web series which reflect young people's concerns, feature relatable characters and give space to non-conservative views and lifestyles and this is the potential online audience where marketer can target audience through content marketing. Added benefit is there is no restriction about advertising time unlike TV advertising.

Web series are more popular with youth, especially students, who often have no access to TV. The session started with the reasons for their popularity and discussed the goals, potential, and techniques they offered for marketing.

Further Challapallin said, "Experts believed that the right way to market a brand is to show how it could solve a problem, show its experience, and make the consumer's story the focus of the show."

With all the advantages there is a flip side too which she explained quoting studies on clutter content and that many people did not really give brands much importance. She also accentuate on using Indian languages other than Hindi and English.

Discussing the future possibility of content marketing Challapalli said, "In the future, there could possibly be more technology to grapple with, such as virtual and augmented reality. Challenges for the marketers would include figuring out how to make the advertising even less intrusive and arrive at the right metrics to measure return on investment."
