Las Vegas Residents Join Annual Angels of Las Vegas Toy Drive Benefiting St. Rose Dominican Hospital

LAS VEGAS - Dec. 17, 2017 - PRLog -- Local residents have partnered with a local non-profit to provide some holiday cheer for those less fortunate with the Angels of Las Vegas (AOLV) 6th Annual fundraising event complete with toy drop off and festivities on ‪December 19th 2017 6pm- 9pm at ‪4850 West Flamingo Road #44 Northwest corner of Decatur and Flamingo. (next to HOLLYWOOD HAIR & Beauty Supply). Donors will be treated to Live DJ, pictures with Santa Clause & Mrs. Claus and holiday cheer.

"We have seen the joy that toys, games and activities bring to the children and families spending time in the hospitals or at the homeless shelters. Being in the hospital during the holiday season can be tough for kids and their families," said Aynalem Workneh, President of Angels of Las Vegas, a charity dedicated to supporting families impacted by cancer and other diseases.

"Every year we take Santa Claus to deliver toys to the children who will not be home for the holiday. We want them to know just because they are going through a hard time there are still people who care about them and we want to ensure that lots of children battling life threatening illnesses will receive something to smile about during their hospital stay"

Workneh and AOLV board members and volunteers will personally deliver the toys along with Santa Claus on Thursday December 21 to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Las Vegas.

Kathy Cooper, Child Life Specialist at St. Rose Dominican Hospital – Siena Campus will also be the guest speaker at the event on the 21^st.

"I love Angels of Las Vegas team who have brought joy to many children in our hospital over the years. Thank you for turning the devastating of life-threatening illnesses in to moments of excitement, love and lasting memories to cherish always! All the make over & birthday parties, special hospital visits, Christmas toy gift and other holidays they've been a part of and have touched the lives of many. They are truly are Angels,"  Cooper said.
