A participant in the research had been using steroids for 5 years, he decided to take part and undergo a series of tests, one of the most worrying results was found in his heart " the steroids he had taken over the years had led to the thickening of his heart lining, and his results were at the very edge of normal, anabolic steroids cause an imbalance of hormones, they can cause men to grow 'man boobs' and make women hairier and to lose their breasts, it is very sad that some feel they need to go to such drastic measures to gain muscle when it can be done naturally without any cray side effects" explained Godfrey nurse, senior trainer at Educogym Canary Wharf.
