Author Heather Jacks, Charity/Book Launch in San Francisco, Features Absinthe, Appetizers & Punks

SAN FRANCISCO - Jan. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Looking to have more fun than one should have on a Friday night?

Head on out to Spark Arts in the Castro, on Friday March 16th, starting at 7 p.m. for a Charity/Book launch party hosted by Heather Jacks.  Jacks is an award winning author, Disco Loving Wine Ninja, diehard SF Giants fan and Saint with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

Jacks' new book, My Headdress Is On Fire….stories from a White Girl growing up on & off Indian Land…is a series of deliciously skewed essays that travel the world from Indian Land to the Australian Outback, single parenting to the Empty Nest. Jacks' "full powers of smart wit are engaged" as she unearths stories about an Indian Chief, Bozo the Clown, Kupa Piti and David the Camel, with heart and candor.

Dogwood Distilling will be hosting a FREE liquid art bar, featuring the award winning H'aint Absinthe. There will also be a photo booth with The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a flash tattoo pop-up chair from Castro Tattoos, appetizers and lots of raffle prizes from local businesses.'

Ten percent of all book proceeds, including sales at this launch, will be donated to Punks with Lunch, a not-for-profit harm reduction group providing food and other necessities to people experiencing homelessness.
