By: Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness Registration will begin at 9:00 am, and speaking will commence at 9:30 am. Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL) will present Congresswoman Ileana Ros- Lehtinen (R-FL) with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her endless advocacy on behalf of eating disorders education, early intervention, and treatment. In addition, bestselling speaker and author Jamie Tworkowski, Founder/CEO of To Write Love On Her Arm, will address the crowd and share stories of hope and recovery in regards to mental health and suicide awareness. The Alliance is expecting 800+ walkers and hopes to raise awareness of eating disorders, positive body image, and recovery. More than 30 exhibitors will be present, as well as a photo booth, kid's arts and crafts area, and more. The 4GirlsFoundation is once again the title sponsor of the walk alongside ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders, Eating Recovery Center, Oliver-Pyatt Centers, The Paderewski Family, Veritas Collaborative, Center for Discovery, Timberline Knolls, The Renfrew Center, DI Law, Advanced Recovery Systems, Rosewood Center for Eating Disorders, ViaMar Health, Delray Honda, Keratin Complex, Athleta, Walden Behavioral Care, Alpha Media, and many more. They are all coming together to support The Alliance's mission and goals of building awareness, education, and early intervention of eating disorders.
