Said Snehal Bhakta, of the CCSD, "We are extremely excited to have speaker Christina Aldan as our keynote speaker for the #GirlsinSTEM Day hosted by the UNLV Scientistas. Knowing how she overcame the challenge of poverty to build a successful career for herself will be so inspiring to these young women from West Prep Academy hoping to achieve the same. We welcome Christina's unique perspective and insight on being a creative person in STEM and Technology career fields."

Anyone who wants to support the UNLV Scientista Foundation should check out their website and join one of their upcoming volunteer events or committees. Their next general meeting is Wednesday February 21st. Visit https://unlvscientista.com/ for more information.
