Follow on Google News | Junior Food Festival to Support Local Horse RescueBy: GNG Events The "Junior Food Festival," produced by GNG Events, will benefit local charity, Maryland Horse Rescue based in Mount Airy, MD. General admission for the event is free, but Early Band wristband tickets are available for $10 and each wristband includes early entry into the Junior Food Festival before general admission crowd. The Junior Food Festival starts at Noon, with Early Band access beginning at 11 AM to Noon. General admission will be available on-site. The event will feature Junior Culinary Showdown featuring local food celebrity Chopped Junior Chef Danielle McNerney, The kidz zone will feature a Sugary Demo and Frosting Contest by Junior Chef Kaliope with Fleur de Pomme Patisserie and include a Food Vendor Contest to get kids involved in eating different kinds of food, food scavenger hunt, live entertainment and much more. Junior attendees will have the option to purchase a $5 tasting plate from each one of the vendors and then vote for their favorite food vendor. At the end of every evening the winners of the favorite food vendor will be announced at the main stage. GNG Events will donate $300.00 in the name of each food vendor winner to Maryland Horse Rescue. The Junior Food Festival will include a shopping experience, beer and wine garden and multiple food vendors for all families to enjoy.
