FLORENCE, Ala. - March 15, 2018 - PRLog -- Annie Pearl Asher is a short story writer and the author of the recently released ebook, "A Medley Of Moods;" it is downloadable at eBookit.com for $8.99. Part 1 of the ebook consist of 7 short stories about family, relationships and death. "Death Pain And Being A Widow" is nonfictional and centers around the death of Asher's son and her husband.  She is open about her childhood fear of the deceased. In her book she shares her reactions to the death of her son and husband. According to Norman Cousins, American journalist, and author, "Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live." To some, Cousins words may run contrary to what many people believe: that the death of a close loved one is their greatest loss in life.

Asher has survived her losses through faith and prayers and has learned that despair can be changed to hope. But one cannot change the condition of the dead, therefore, some believe that death of a loved one is the greatest loss in life.

Well-meaning friends will try to prepare the bereaved by telling them that it will take a year for them to heal. In the August 26, 2015 article "10 Places Grieving Widows Can Get Help", (HuffPost) Gloria Horsley, author, therapist and grieving mother wrote, "Each grief journey has its own timeline and pathway." One of the participants in Gloria Horsley's support groups said, "By attending the support groups, she learned how to lean into the pain, and that only by experiencing it could she heal from it." This is the way to living after death--death of a loved one. Although Asher has healed from the loss of her loved ones she carries them in her memory as she looks for new horizons to explore.
