Follow on Google News | Higher Ed Web Design Team at KDG and Fenwick High School Partner for Second Day of GivingFor the second year in a row, KDG's higher ed web design team and Fenwick High School partnered on a highly successful day of giving campaign.
By: KDG "This year's event really built upon the success of our 2017 campaign as we were able to re-engage last year's participants and seek out new ones," said Cindy Erwin, Fenwick's Director of Annual Giving Programs. "We grew from 1,800 donors in 2017 to 2,150 donors in 2018, and also increased the amount raised from $186,000 in 2017 to $270,000 in 2018." The 2018 "Raise the Shield" campaign was built using the reusable template KDG had developed for the school during its 2017 day of giving. Only several small changes were made in order to keep the content fresh and engaging. For example, over 20 student-generated videos were created and shared throughout the day as donor goals were unlocked. These videos got the entire Fenwick community excited about the important day. "Using a reusable template allowed Fenwick to spend less time worrying about development and more time focusing on small changes that made a big impact," explains Claudia Grossmann, UI/UX designer at KDG. One of those new changes was a "Coming Soon" page that answered prospective donors' pressing questions in order to ease their anxieties about donating online. There were also numerous events held both on campus and on social media to get the entire Fenwick community, from students to alumni, involved. "Our Friar community has come to look forward to participating in the day and supporting Fenwick in this fun way," said Erwin. To keep track of the constant stream of donors and gifts, KDG developed a custom admin panel for Fenwick. This admin panel recorded donation amounts, referrals, gift totals, affiliations, and more. Every stat Fenwick needed to gauge its engagement was available in real-time. The campaign was an overwhelming success for Fenwick. Alumni, students, parents, and other members of the Friar community showed their support online and off. Alumni, especially young alumni, made up the most donations. "Once again, working with KDG was a breeze. Most importantly, they took our feedback from the 2017 campaign and made improvements to their overall product," continues Erwin. "We continue to be grateful for their partnership and we look forward to continuing to develop the relationship in the future."
