ACE Film HK Forms New ACE Studios Chile Division Headed by Henry Luk, Aki Aleong and Fito Rivera

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - May 3, 2018 - PRLog -- Henry Luk, President and CEO, ACE Film HK, has announced that he, Aki Aleong and Fito Rivera will jointly head a new ACE Studios Chile division. Aleong, Luk and Rivera all boast resumes detailing extensive film backgrounds that encompass acting, writing, producing and directing. ACE Studios Chile will be producing film and television projects in Chile.  The new ACE division has two films slated to be put into pre-production within 30 days.  The first film from ACE Studios Chile will be a new version of "Bloodfist".  Legendary martial artist "Don the Dragon" Wilson starred as Jake Raye in the highly successful original series of eight "Bloodfist" films, which were produced by Roger Corman.

The "Bloodfist" film from ACE Studios Chile is slated to coincide with the new international "Bloodfist" film, which will be shot by ACE Film HK and written by John Fusco ("Young Guns", "Hidalgo" and "Marco Polo").  The second film is called "Lost in Chile" and will be a Spanish version of the Chinese film, which has grossed over $500M U.S and is the top grossing comedy film in China. Dawna Lee Heising will doing publicity for Aki Aleong and ACE Studios Chile.

Indie film legend Roger Corman recently sold his New Horizons Pictures Library to China-based ACE Film HK Company and to Shout! Factory. Around 270 films and an action sci-fi TV series were purchased from Corman and Julie Corman, the veteran film director and producer's wife and longtime business partner.Shout! Factory and ACE Film HK and ACE Studios Chile plan to tap the 270 film and TV titles in the New Horizons library for new content development, remakes, merchandise licensing programs, digital media content and syndication across streaming, TV, digital and VOD platforms.

The acquisition deal hands Shout! Factory all rights to the New Horizons library in North America, Europe, Australia and Russia. Ace Film HK gets all rights for China, Asia, Africa and South America. Corman properties in the deal included "Bloodfist", "Black Scorpion", "Humanoids From the Deep", "Slumber Party Massacre" and "Forbidden World". The deal was negotiated by Emmer and Bruce David Eisen of Media Advisory Services for Shout! Factory, by Henry Luk for ACE Film HK and Alan Schwartz and Robert Sherman of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, on behalf of the Cormans.

Corman, now 91 years old, founded New World Pictures in the 1970s, which grew to become the largest independent motion picture distribution company in the country. Corman has been credited with discovering talent through the years such as Jack Nicholson, Francis Ford Coppola, Peter Fonda, Bruce Dern, Diane Ladd, Peter Bogdanovich, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Ron Howard and James Cameron. Over his career, he has produced and directed over 500 films.

Aki Aleong's career has spanned more than 60 years as an actor, singer, writer, producer and activist. Aki has starred in more than 50 movies and 150 television shows, and boasts extensive experience as a record executive/artist. He has also served on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild; was appointed National Chair of SAG'S EEOC and was a member of the President's Diversity/Affirmative Action Task Force. He has also been Executive Director of AIM (Asians in Media), Vice President of The Media Coalition of Los Angeles and President of MANAA (Media Action Network for Asian-Americans). Among Aki's numerous awards includes an Honorary Doctorate from New Dimensions University in 2013.  Aki is also the President and CEO of Mustard Seed Media Group and the Senior Advisor to ACE Film HK.

Aki will soon release his momentous feature film "Railroad to Hell: A Chinaman's Chance", which is edited by Dustin Ferguson. About Fito Rivera – Partner ACE Studios Chile
Fito Rivera is a World Champion martial artist with an 8th degree black belt. During his 30 year career, he won over 300 tournaments, including the World Games, Hollywood Classic, Battle of Miami, New York Internationals, and ASKAMA Internationals. Most prominently, he earned the title of WWKO World Champion title in over twelve different countries. Following retirement from competitions, he was hired to be the personal trainer of two South American presidents, and several other personalities. He trained several national and international champions.

Fito is also an experienced filmmaker and director, with an MBA in Film Production Business and a Project Certification in Film Production.  He is the director and producer of the television series "Scorpion Girl" and his latest project is the television series "En Llamas".

Born into Hong Kong's film family, Henry Luk grew up in the middle of Hong Kong's busy film industry, learning all aspects of filmmaking.  His father Luk Bong was the Director of numerous Cantonese feature films in the 1960's and 1970' in Hong Kong.  Luk wrote and directed his first feature film in 1987 in New York City.  Henry Luk and Adam Yuchen Ren are the respective CEO and COO of Ace Film HK Company.
