By: Civil Air Patrol In order to prepare for the National Competition, each Region will conduct competitions for the purpose of selecting two teams of six cadets and two senior member escorts each to represent their respective Regions. The Pacific Region of Civil Air Patrol comprised of CAP Wings headquartered in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon and Washington State will hold its annual competition the weekend of 4 – 6 May at the Nevada Army National Guard Training Center at Camp Stead in Reno, NV. Each team was selected from the very best during previous state level competitions. These extraordinary young people train for months and sometimes years to demonstrate their excellence in a wide range of activities in the arenas of leadership, aerospace, fitness and character. During the weekend competition, cadets compete in physical challenges, test their knowledge of aviation and leadership, demonstrate the highest levels of precision and teamwork in posting the colors, and above all, cheer each other on in the spirit of teamwork. The top two teams from Pacific Region will join the other seven CAP Regions at Wright State University in Dayton, OH and compete for the honor of being awarded the USAF Chief of Staff Outstanding Team Championship Trophy. https://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/ End
