Award Winning Author Signs New Childrens Adventure Book

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - May 9, 2018 - PRLog -- The globally recognized Mom's Choice Awards® (MCA) organization announced that the children's adventure book, "The Villains of Splazat," written by Jesse Arrington III was chosen as a "silver" honoree for their coveted Mom's Choice Awards®. The MCA evaluates products created for parents, children and is globally recognized for establishing the "benchmark for excellence."

Mr. Arrington will sell and sign his book at AFK Books & Records, 4801 Shore Drive, Suite D, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23455 (757-962-1996) on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. He will read excerpts if asked and give away souvenirs. The book will be sold at a specially reduced sale price for this occasion.

The "Villains of Splazat" is unique from start to finish with rhyming tongue twisters and a daring vocabulary that is sure to send children to its glossary in the back pages deciphering the meaning and pronunciation of words like "ziggurat" and "lumpenproletariat!" The words start out easy but as the story unfolds, the words become increasingly challenging, said Arrington.

Mr. Arrington was born in Portsmouth and grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia before living the next 40 years between the cities of Anchorage, Kodiak, Juneau and Fairbanks, Alaska. He is now retired from the National Park Service and lives in San Antonio, Texas. He is a Viet Nam veteran and has three sons, Blake, Christopher and Ian.
