Follow on Google News | Adelphi Offers Summer Pre-College for High School StudentsAdelphi's Garden City campus is minutes from renowned beaches and parks, and 23 miles from New York City, the world's premiere location for art, culture and entertainment. The Pre-College program offers a variety of course topics from which students can choose and all classes are taught by Adelphi's nationally recognized faculty. For-credit class options allow students to earn three transferable college credits that can be applied toward future college degrees. The programs being offered this summer include: Art and Design, Business and Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Digital Media Production, Introduction to Video Game Programming, Introduction to Nursing, Psychology and Pop Culture, Science, Technology and Art and Exploring Musical Theater running Sunday, July 22 to Saturday, August 4. Other programs include the Sciences, Medicine and Health: Winthrop Summer Science Institute Day Program running two sessions, Monday, July 16 to Friday, July 20 for commuter students and Monday, July 23 to Friday, July 27 for residents. There will also be a Bridges Launch Program running Thursday, July 19 to Saturday, August 4 for students with autism spectrum disorder, a nonverbal learning disability, or problems with executive functioning or socialization, who are enrolled in Adelphi University.
