Rehab Program Offering Home-Based Services Comes to Bedford, N.H

BEDFORD, N.H. - May 11, 2018 - PRLog -- The startup Aware Recovery Care is offering home-based addiction treatment programs to the residents of Bedford, New Hampshire

The program features a team with a primary care physician, a nurse, a cognitive behavioral therapist, a case manager that visit the patients' homes to provide them with all the addiction treatment services that would be offered by a drug and alcohol rehab center.

People with opioid use disorders can get medication-assisted treatment with all the substances they would receive at most drug detox centers.

The company claims that their approaches to treating substance use disorders are non-intrusive and comprehensive, featuring daily support and abstinence management by certified addiction treatment professionals as well as recovery advisors.

Dr. Ellen Lockhard Edens, an assistant professor of psychiatry and associate director of the addiction psychiatry residency program at Yale University stated that Aware Recovery Care is offering services that will play a substantial part of future of addiction medicine.

A number of other doctors stated that the home settings is beneficial for the patients because that tends to be the place where their substance use disorder has developed or where they encounter elements that trigger their urges to use drugs and/or alcohol again.

The home-based addiction treatment services are not inexpensive  and a year of treatment costs roughly $38,000. But the services offered are also covered by private health insurance companies in both New Hampshire and in Connecticut.
