Follow on Google News | Legendary Drummer & Producer Teddy Young of Laurita Entertainment Presents:The Band FULFILLMENT & Their Debut Single & Official Music Video - "NO ONE ELSE"
By: Laurita Entertainment Born and raised in North Carolina, Teddy Young's love affair with drums would only be rivaled by his passion as a producer. It would be the days of the Apollo Theatre, and the way he interacted and studied his contemporaries, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Edda James, Whitney Houston, and others, that would not only prove to help Mr. Young develop the concept for the band, the type of music they would write, but it would ultimately shape him into the fantastic producer he is today. Young recalls "Back in the days of the Apollo Theatre, the audience would chase the performers off the stage if they did not offer a complete package. My objective has always been to present a band that has all of the elements necessary to win the crowd. From their vocal ability, musical background, individual skill sets…down to the way they move and dress. The attention to detail is key, and cannot be overlooked. All these details paired with their unique contemporary sound…seasoned with inspiration from the past, is what will put Fulfillment on the gospel music map." Steve Knopper, contributing editor of Rolling Stone magazine and the editor/author of "MJ: The Genius of Michael Jackson" (Scribner, 2015), "Appetite for Self Destruction: Young's quote reads as follows: "So the Jackson's come on. Nobody knew who they were. They did their set the first night. The second night. Then Michael kept asking: "How'd Jackie Wilson do that dance and that quick turn he do?" He kept asking, he kept asking. Joe Simon is not known for dancing, but Joe actually showed him, while we were rehearsing, before showtime, how to pivot that little turn. By the end of those Apollo dates, Michael was fluent in James Brown and Jackie Wilson. Right there at the Apollo, Michael and the Jackson 5 took the torch from the Five Stairsteps," With "No One Else" as their first release, Young wanted to make sure he covered all bases and sought out a filmmaker that would not only make him an official music video for his debut single, but one that would tell a story and send a message to their audience, effectively and poignantly. At its core, "No One Else" is about an individuals struggle between right and wrong, and it would be feature filmmaker/director, Terence Gordon of TnG Films (Best known for Feature Film "For Michelle") that would breathe life into Young's music with his narrative style. Additional career highlights include Mr. Gordon's involvement in: Prime of Your Life (Co-Executive Producer), Hermafrodita (Associate Producer) and currently, Youthful Ambition (Creator of Brand and Series). Deus Beni Productions would handle the cinematography for the production. The video for the debut single, "No One Else" is coming out of production and slated for release soon. Terence Gordon mentioned: "Really enjoyed working with everyone involved in the project, including Teddy Young, JLC, the band, filmmaking team and TnG Film's newcomer, Production Assistant, Becca Doggett. As first time actors this would be a new venture for them, and they did a really nice job. They were very patient with the process, as it can be long and arduous. It was a good collaborative effort and that's how I like to work.
