By: Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty The app works with a photo of the room and a "curated" selection of interior designs with which the user can dress the room in a range of styles from modern to traditional and see and swap among these styles, getting a picture or how their own furniture or furnishings they'd like to purchase would fit in the house. "Many buyers have a hard time picturing themselves and their belongings in a house, particularly when that house is empty house or furnished in a way that doesn't appeal to them," said Deirdre O'Connell, Chief Executive Officer of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. "This new app has great potential to remove some of the guesswork of the home buying and selling experience, making it a great resource for our buyers, sellers and our sales people." App users can screenshot and store the AR images from multiple houses so that they can compare properties of interest. All the furnishings in the app are shown to-scale and provide accurate room dimensions as well. The virtual home furnishings also can be clicked for more information about the products, including a link to exit the app and be directed to a retailer's website if there's interest in purchasing the furnishings. Currently Curate by Sotheby's International Realty is available for download in the Google Play Store for Android devices. The iPhone version is expected to be available in June 2018.
