By: Evergood Elixirs Evergood Elixirs of Palmer Lake offers Skier Pee, a lemon wine, and Snow Bunny, a lemon strawberry-flavored wine. The tangy fruit flavors, along with the whimsical names with skiing connections, are sticking with tasters. "You don't drink yellow snow and you don't forget the slightly irreverent names we gave our wines," says founder Matthew Hexter. "I've been complimented many times that Skier Pee and Snow Bunny taste like a summery lemonade. As a skier, I remind others to keep their tips up because these wines aren't for kids." Fermented six weeks, Evergood Elixir's citrus wines pack a punch with 10% ABV. Testers rave that they are both gluten-free and true wines -- unlike malt-based hard lemonades or traditional wine coolers. Tasters say they'd love to drink them aprés-ski; others want them for summer trail adventures, around a campfire or by the beach. They describe the wines as approachable. The public is invited to the Grand Uncorking on Friday, June 29 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Guests over 21 with proper ID receive one free wine sample and can purchase Skier Pee and Snow Bunny by the bottle or the case at discounted event-only prices. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce, live music featuring the Ashtonz, and favorite local food trucks complete the event at Evergood Elixir's production venue at 613 County Line Road in Palmer Lake. Hexter, a longtime home coffee roaster and micro-brewer, developed his fruity wine recipes eight years ago. The catchy names and nostalgic branding came naturally thanks to frequent days on the slopes with his children. After giving away hundreds of samples and receiving consistently positive reviews, Hexter decided to go all out for his licensing and ramp up production. Evergood Elixirs recently committed to be a sponsor for the 2018 Tri-Lakes 4th of July's Beer Garden. Colorado restaurants, ski resorts and special events are lining up to pour glasses of Skier Pee and Snow Bunny. The citrus wines will also be sold direct-to-consumer at http://www.EvergoodElixirs.com. End
