GLESEC and IACI Sign Agreement to Advance Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Collaboration

By: IACI

ORLANDO, Fla. - June 12, 2018 - PRLog -- GLESEC and the International Association of Certified ISAOs (IACI) sign a teaming partnership agreement to collaborate on Cyber Security information exchange and Cyber Security projects. As part of this agreement GLESEC becomes a Strategic Partner of IACI and Sergio Heker, CEO of GLESEC joins the IACI Board of Advisors.

"The strategic partnership of GLESEC with IACI is an important milestone in the area of public- and private-sector information sharing and outreach. We value the important work that IACI is doing to support ISAOs in the US and around the world and are planning to embrace this effort", says Sergio Heker, GLESEC CEO.

Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations (ISAOs), enacted under the US Presidential Executive Order 13691 "Promoting Private-Sector Cybersecurity Information Sharing" encourage coordinated development of public- and private-sector partnerships across all critical infrastructure sectors and other communities of interest, working in collaboration with government. The US Cybersecurity Information Act of 2015 (CISA) provides increased authority for cybersecurity information sharing between and among the private sector and governments (Federal/State/Local/Tribal/Territorial). Supported by CISA, private entities that share cyber threat indicators or defensive measures with an ISAO/ISAC through the DHS capability and process created under CISO, are also eligible for liability protection in addition to CISA's other protections and exemptions.

IACI, the global association for cyber threat analysis and intelligence information sharing
organizations is advancing cyber resilience through guidance, by assuring awareness and threats and providing management, and security services supporting Government and Industry reduction of cyber risks. This coordinated development of partnerships among information sharing organizations and their members allows all entities worldwide the opportunity to become cyber resilience – breaking down long-standing barriers and silos.

GLESEC' Seven Elements Cyber Security Model (7eCSMTM) will be integral to the relationship with IACI by providing an enhanced executive and tactical platform at member-discounted rates. The 7eCSMTM is a conceptual representation of the state of cyber security of a client organization along with an alignment to a framework to proactively and responsibly address the client's cyber security needs. The Risk, Vulnerability, Threats, Assets, Compliance, Access and Validation elements are activated by a combination of many services from GLESEC' proprietary TIPTM platform such as: managed vulnerability testing, compliance monitoring, enforcement and remediation, malicious applications and Ransomware detection, containment and removal, event correlation and incident response, threat mitigation for DDOS and intrusion, network and application level protection, multivector breach attack simulation testing, multi-factor authentication, privileged identity management, sensitive information management among various other services.

A foundational concept for GLESEC is based on "intelligence" gathering from various sources internal and external to our member-client organizations and aggregated and correlated in our backend BigData platform. "We understand that the most valuable ingredient that fuels of our services is actionable information", says Sergio Heker, GLESEC CEO "and therefore our partnership with IACI is of strategic importance".

"IACI is thrilled to have a world-class company like GLESEC and Sergio Heker's leadership and expertise supporting critical infrastructure cyber resilience for IACI Member ISAOs and their respective members," said Mike Echols, IACI CEO. "Actively addressing cyber risk with the combination of services GLESEC provides throughout the cybersecurity lifecycle will contribute greatly to adding a trusted layer of confidence to proactively manage cyber risks."
