Follow on Google News | Gregory Blair signs on to play Famine in Adam Steigert's THEMBy: ARS Productions "I'm excited to work with Adam again," Blair says. "He's a vetted, visionary director who knows what he wants and how to achieve it, but he's totally comfortable allowing his actors to bring their own creative value to the table. Together, I think we made Fang's creepy caretaker Harold into something iconic and I feel confident that we will be able to make Famine equally memorable." While this Famine is indeed the famed being who makes up a quarter of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, he and the other three are far from the familiar manifestations of yore. In a completely reimagining of the mythology, when the Horsemen arrive to bring about the end of mankind, earthly monsters and other creatures unite to fight them. This Famine--unlike any previous incarnation— "I wrote the role of Famine with Gregory in mind," Steigert said. "He pulled off the odd ambivalence that makes Harold so intriguing in "Fang", I knew he could do the same for what I wanted to do with the character of Famine. There was one scene in particular I just knew was going to resonant with him, so I was hopeful he would like the role. When he sent me a video of how he'd like to play the character, I knew immediately my gut was right. He literally gave me chills. I think he'll give everyone chills." "The Horrific Evil Monsters" is slated to shoot next summer through ARS Productions with a proposed 2020 release date.
