Getzner Expands in U.S., Opens First Production Facility

DECATUR, Ill. - June 26, 2018 - PRLog -- Getzner USA, Inc., the leading expert for vibration isolation and protection (https://www.getzner.com/en-us), announces the opening of its first-ever production facility in North America, allowing it to expand its product range domestically. The Decatur, Ill., plant manufactures several products, including elastic bearings for railway traffic and products for the bedding of buildings made from Getzner's high-tech materials: Sylomer®, Sylodyn® and Sylodamp®. Using raw materials from the U.S., the plant meets the requirements of the Buy America Act. Getzner Werkstoffe, based in Austria, has been active in North America for more than 20 years, with headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., since 2013.

Illinois Job Creation

By opening the plant, Getzner is creating new jobs in the U.S. The moulded part plant is state-of-the-art, plus has excellent potential for future expansion.

"For the first two years, employees from Buers, Austria, will gradually train their new colleagues," explains Denk. "This is important because our processes are very complex."

Getzner U.S. Projects

Getzner USA, Inc. serves its customers in the region and sells its solutions both directly to customers and through partners. Getzner has completed several high-profile projects in North America. A notable project from the construction sector is the vibration protection for the "Rushmore Towers" in Manhattan, N.Y., which were built above a railway tunnel. Additional projects include the 15-story apartment building, "The Touraine," on the Upper East Side in Manhattan and the PS 339 public school in Woodside, Queens, which is located near a railway line.
