GovComm Joins South Florida Manufacturers Association (SFMA)

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - July 3, 2018 - PRLog -- As an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) industry leader, it was a natural transition for GovComm to progress into the physical manufacturing and development of ITS equipment and information systems.  In today's political climate of international tariffs, trade wars and other prohibitions, having the best advocacy can make a huge difference.   One way to align with organizations that advocate on behalf of manufacturers was to join the SFMA. The SFMA is continually looking for ways to make the business climate ideal for manufacturers in South Florida and throughout the state.

"Hands-on manufacturing of ITS equipment has always been in our business plan and we are encouraged by the resources available through SFMA" commented Craig Waltzer, chief executive officer of GovComm.  "The SFMA partnership will assist us to bring the manufacturing process in-house and offers resources to better manage our quality control, research and development, security framework, standards and testing procedures" said GovComm's chief technical officer Svet Veltchev.  Among many of the SFMA resources available to its members, one of particular interest to GovComm was the SFMA's ability to work with manufacturing companies on building training plans and provide access to state funded training grants for skills upgrades of employees. SFMA assists its members from start to finish on the training grant process.
